Vintage Rickenbacker Guitars
Vintage Rickenbacker 330JG Guitar
This guitar was made famous by Beatles guitarist John Lennon who bought a Rickenbacker 325 Capri, which he used throughout the early days of The Beatles. John Lennon played this guitar for The Beatles' famous 1964 debut on The Ed Sullivan Show.
Many Rickenbackers both guitars and basses are equipped to be compatible with a "Rick-O-Sound" unit via an extra "stereo" output socket that allows the two pickups to be connected to different effects units or amplifiers.
Known for their distinctive jangle and chime, Rickenbacker guitars in general were equipped with lower-output "Toaster" pickups until they were phased out circa 1969-70. Hereafter, most Rickenbacker guitars were equipped with the newer design "Hi-Gain" pickups. In most cases, these pickups had twice the output of their illustrious predecessors.
This change was almost certainly due to the trend toward the louder "Rock" sounds of the 1970s. Because of their tone, the guitars tended to be favoured by Jangle Pop, Power pop and British Invasion-style groups. In particular, the older "Toaster" pickup-equipped 12-string guitars have been associated with The Who, The Byrds and The Beatles among others.

Jolana was a Czechoslovakian guitar brand, producing electric guitars and basses from 1953 to 1989. During the 1960s, Jolana supposedly gained popularity in the UK with George Harrison, Jimmy Page as well as Eric Clapton who are said to have used the Futurama model.
When the quality of Czech Guitars steadily decreased, the marketing increasingly concentrated on countries within the Eastern bloc. In spite of their rather negative reputation, Jolana guitars are still appreciated among collectors. Read more about Jolana Guitars

Schecter Guitar Research, commonly known simply as Schecter, is an American guitar manufacturer. In 1976, David Schecter opened Schecter Guitar Research, a repair shop in Van Nuys, California.
The modest repair shop manufactured replacement guitar necks and bodies, complete pickup assemblies, bridges, pickguards, tuners, knobs, potentiometers, and miscellaneous other guitar parts.
By the late 1970s Schecter offered more than 400 guitar parts, but did not offer any finished instruments. In 1979, Schecter offered, for the first time, its own fully-assembled electric guitars.
These guitars were custom shop models based on Fender designs. They were considered to be very high quality and very expensive, and were sold only by twenty retailers across the United States.
Today, the company mass-produces its own line of electric guitars, bass guitars, and steel-string acoustic guitars.
